What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer position at Specialty Pediatric Solutions?
Duties:
- Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment
- Obtain and record patient history and clinical data
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification in Sonography from an accredited program
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and technology
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
