What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Specialty Products and Insulation?
Salary Range:$20.00 To $25.00 Hourly
Summary
The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for handling a number of duties. This individual will be working with all of the Therm-All reps. Will also be dealing with House Accounts and providing support for PDL sales.
Areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Primary focus will be providing support for the Therm-All reps
- Provide quotes for special requests for door/window products
- Contact suppliers to obtain pricing for non-stock sizes, hardware and components
- Communicate leadtimes for these special requests
- Provide freight costs and crating fees for the quotes
- Provide submittals upon request
- Determine which products meet the needs of the request
- Have a thorough understanding of installation techniques for the products
- Understand the various applications that these products are installed into
- Determine if quote requests are within our scope of offerings
- Update price sheets for the Therm-All reps as needed
- Communicate changes in pricing, product offerings and standard leadtimes
- Must have the ability to problem solve when issues arise
- Must have effective communication skills
- Maintain proper project details, documentation and quotes
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Customer service oriented with strong telephone, computer, and multi-tasking skills
- General knowledge of warehouse operations and product assembly techniques
- Basic math, computer skills, Excel and Word
- Ability to write legibly and communicate clearly with professionalism and courtesy
Work Environment
- This position will be based at the Westlake, OH office
- Office/Warehouse environment
Physical demands may include but are not limited to:
- High level of sitting at a desk
