Medical Support Professional

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team at Specialty Professional Services. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home community care, clinics, and trauma centers. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, medical documentation, and the ability to work effectively in both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide support in medical documentation to ensure accurate patient records.
• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering emergency medicine when necessary.
• Engage with patients experiencing behavioral health challenges with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Support the nursing staff in various clinical tasks within both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and health status.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is essential.
• Experience in home community care or clinic settings is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
