Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care and have experience with various nursing techniques, including aseptic technique and IV infusion. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during catheterization procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.
- Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Catheterization Lab.
- Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in acute care settings; experience in catheterization lab preferred.
- Proficient in aseptic technique and IV infusion practices.
- Knowledge of urgent care protocols and memory care strategies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Cerner or other electronic health record systems is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
