Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently input and process prescriptions in the pharmacy operating system.
- Provide prompt, courteous communication with customers over the phone, addressing their needs quickly.

Essential Job Functions:
- Enter new and refill prescriptions into the system with precision to minimize dispensing errors.
- Triage incoming faxed prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
- Ensure accurate notes and coding in the system for cycle fills.
- Verify correct dosages based on prescriptions.
- Provide caring, courteous customer service, routing calls appropriately for optimal service.
- Complete all assigned prescription processing tasks within the shift.
- Collaborate with doctors' offices to manage refills.
- Develop proficiency in pharmacy systems, including document imaging and the operating system.
- Assist with various tasks, such as filing orders, packaging medications, managing inventory, and processing prescriptions, as needed.
- Learn and manage cycle medication processes to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (as required by state).
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (as required by state); National Certification (PTCB) preferred.
- 2 years of relevant experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience).
- Proficient in advanced computer skills; experience with pharmacy operations systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
