Hiring Coordinator – Gonzales, Louisiana
The Hiring Coordinator at SWAT is a key member of our hiring team, responsible for managing the employee onboarding and deployment process for refinery turnaround projects. The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment is extremely important.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
· Reach out to candidates about jobs that are available
· Set employees up for classes and drug screens
· Communicate daily with project managers about their manpower changes
· Send in-bade request for new employees
· Make sure DISA/FAST is up to date and accurate as can be
· Send plant directions, onsite contacts, start time, etc. for each job
· Keep manpower “Excel” up to date daily
· Schedule travel arrangements as necessary
Requirements:
· Exceptional customer service skills; strong sense of urgency and desire for excellence.
· Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to respect the confidential nature of human resources work
· Proficient working knowledge and understanding of spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications, such as Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· 1 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Must be able to work nights, weekends or overtime as needed
Preferred Experience:
· 6-12 months of experience with hiring for turnarounds.
· Knowledge of the refinery and petrochemical industries.
· Knowledge of safety council websites.
· Knowledge of DISA
