Responsibilities:
- Work with sales, engineering and project management to ensure on-time delivery of HVAC equipment
- Manage production schedule and organize workflow to meet deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Identify opportunities and conduct Continuous Improvement activities
- Manage and evaluate the performance of production personnel
- Identify necessary personnel resources and conduct interviews to fill gaps
- Ensure quality standards are met and maintained
- Promote and ensure all health and safety precautions are utilized
- Report opportunities and concerns to upper management
- Demonstrate the Core Values of Specific Systems
- Approve time in ADP and manage overtime with the demands of the business.
- Oversee production, materials, and warehouse personnel and processes.
- Responsible for repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Selecting and creating requisitions for consumable materials.
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.
- Identify opportunities and conduct Continuous Improvement & 5S activities.
- Manage departmental budgets.
- Manage the production schedule, adding new orders and organizing workflow to meet deadlines.
- Monitor production to resolve issues.
- Manage and mentor buyer.
- Update dates on job orders in CSI.
- Assess project and resource requirements.
- Coordinate electrical and brazing schedules to the production schedule.
- Work with quality, sales, engineering and project management to ensure on-time delivery.
- Lead daily review meeting with Buyer & Warehouse Supervisor of upcoming schedule/shortages.
- Closely monitor critical purchase orders to ensure due dates are met.
- Minimum 5 years production experience.
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or similar field.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs in all directions.
- Must be able to work extended hours when business needs require it.
