**Job Overview:**
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to work with a diverse group of adults in Thousand Oaks and Moorpark. As an Independent Living Skills Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching essential life skills to four individuals, helping them develop the tools they need to live independently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized lesson plans to support each participant's goals
- Teach a variety of life skills, including budgeting, meal planning, household chores, and personal hygiene
- Provide support and guidance to help participants navigate daily challenges and obstacles
- Collaborate with other support staff and professionals to ensure holistic care for participants
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of progress and outcomes
**Requirements:**
- Experience in caregiving or related field
- Knowledge of special education practices
- Proficiency in behavior management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication skills
