Description
We are seeking a QA Tester to complement our team of manual and automated testers. Our ideal candidate will be very comfortable in the manual testing environment, but has a solid foundation in their automated testing skills. This position will be mostly manual in the beginning as our automated team builds the foundation of our test suite. However, this role will expand to include more automation opportunities using our low-code record and play tool, Mabl. It is a role someone hoping to grow in both their manual and automated testing abilities will thrive, especially with the supportive culture of the QA team.
You will report to our QA Team Lead, and live under the Product umbrella. You'll be crucial in maintaining the quality of our product and working directly with the Product and Engineering teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing to ensure products and features perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines
- Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Become a product expert! Being a part of the QA team is more than just catching bugs, it’s about being part of the product development process to help surface potential issues before they happen
- Continuously improve the testing process and suggest enhancements around efficiency and effectiveness
- Create end-to-end (E2E) tests using our record and play test automation platform, Mabl.
- Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to understand user stories and their acceptance criteria
- Communicate closely and proactively with Product and Engineering teams to help them understand the results of your test runs
- Work with the Client Success team to log and reproduce user-reported bugs
Who You Are
- Work Experience: 2 or more years of experience as a QA Tester (preferably in the SaaS/software space) and 1 or more years of experience with a record and play automation tool, preferably Mabl
- High-Energy Multi-Tasker: You must be able to juggle multiple ongoing projects and tickets while maintaining great energy and composure.
- Puzzle Solver: An analytical mind and excitement around solving problems.
- Empathetic: A customer-first mentality and a desire to understand the true use cases of each ticket you're testing.
- Succinct: Ability to explain issues in a concise yet easy-to-understand manner, as well as document errors after troubleshooting
- Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: A familiarity with the Internet, SaaS, and a variety of browsers and devices plus an interest in diving into the code level with our automation tool.

- Attention to Detail: Catching edge cases and hard-to-spot bugs requires a sharp eye and a detail-oriented working style.
- Self Starter: This position has a high amount of autonomy and will require strong organizational skills, drive, and an ability to focus on deadlines & deliverables
- Software Experience: Bug tracking tools and familiarity with automated testing tools are a must! We use Linear.
- Adaptability: This is a fast moving company. We’re constantly adding processes and clarity as we scale and are looking for another team member who isn’t afraid to bring new ideas and grow with us.

Salary Info: $60,000-$75,000
