What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upholstery Technician position at Spectra Corporation?
A manufacturer of upholstered commercial furniture, Spectra Corporation is looking for immediate hiring of a full time upholstery technician. Experience in furniture building is a plus, but not necessary, we would provide training to the appropriate candidate.
Must have excellent work ethic, be able to work in a team environment, but also must able to carry out duties independently. Communicating effectively with co-workers and supervision is important, so are attention to detail, ability of focus. Experience with understanding of architectural drawings is preferred. Must be able to use hand tools such as air powered staple guns, spray guns, hammers, scissors, tac pullers, foam cutters etc.
This job requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend for eight hours or more daily. Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers and eyes to upholstered furniture. Could require some lifting up to 75 lbs and carrying or pushing some weight. Requires ability to work while wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
