Key Responsibilities:
- Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for plumbing systems in commercial and high-end residential construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
- Blueprint Analysis: Review project blueprints, specifications, and related documents to understand the scope of work and identify potential challenges or opportunities for cost optimization.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals to secure competitive quotes for materials and labor.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze and evaluate quotations received, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to propose cost-effective alternatives and value engineering solutions while maintaining quality standards.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive and organized bid packages, proposals, and reports, and assist in contract negotiations.
- Bid Presentation: Present estimates and proposals to clients and project stakeholders, addressing questions and concerns as necessary.
