Facilities Tech I
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs general facility maintenance to include basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall patching, replacement of ceiling tiles and flooring repair.
- Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment including RTUs, Water Source Heat Pumps and Split Systems.
- Will work with a standard CMMS ticket-based management system to communicate and track customer requests and maintenance tasks.
- Will perform weekly building rounds, maintaining building consumables and ensuring common area fixtures and supplies are maintained.
- Will maintain stock of consumable products – I.E. lights, filters, belts Etc. using a min/max system.
- Responsible for ensuring Spectra safety procedures and policies are properly followed at all times including but not limited to operation of power tools and hand tools, working at heights, lock out tag out, enclosed spaces, electrical and rotating equipment. Training will be provided.
- Responsible for maintenance and security of facility maintenance tools and equipment.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Can work in a group or work independently with little or no supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
- Must be able to speak English articulately. Communication will be via email, Zoom, telephone.
- Position involves standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 75 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day.
- Must be able to drive a car, and possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to transport self around the facilities and amenities.
- This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
- Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and have excellent reasoning and communication skills.
Preferences:
- Previous commercial Facilities experience.
