This position is eligible for a $500 signing bonus.
Salary: $80,000 , commensurate with experience
Summary: To serve as Manager for all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance needs in accordance with customer and Company requirements.
Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:
- Implementation and maintenance of the Company quality system.
- Is the Management Representative for ISO 9001 Quality System.
- Conducts internal audits.
- Schedules and leads Management Review meetings.
- Controls and updates all ISO documents and forms.
- Process control management for manufacturing operations.
- Reviews and approves traveler changes as needed.
- Reviews and approves process changes.
- Updates Quality alert system.
- Reviews incoming broker components and PCBs.
- Develops and performs vendor/supplier evaluations when needed.
- Creates supplier SCAR as required.
- Implements training for production personnel and other levels of management.
- Conducts yearly ISO training for all employees.
- Ensures all employees are trained on IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001 Standards.
- Ensures a training program (basic knowledge for electronic assembly) is in place for new employees.
- Recommends training opportunities to Ownership Group.
- Interfaces with customers on matters relating to quality.
- Completes CAR’s and responds to customer inquiries.
- Implements corrective actions into Spectra-Tech manufacturing.
Manages staff of production Quality Inspectors.
Monitors the quality output of inspection staff to ensure products meet all industry standards - - makes final quality decisions as required.
- Monitors the process quality of product through AOI machines.
- Optimizes use of equipment – ensures 1st piece Inspection and random samples are inspected to ensure quality of process.
- Defines and compiles manufacturing quality data.
- Monitor and update Key Measurables.
- Perform problem solving analysis as needed.
- Organize and manage quality assurance functions in close cooperation with customers and company management team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education: The Quality Manager should have a four-year technical degree relating to manufacturing or equivalent experience.
Experience: Five years-experience in Quality Administration and/or Quality Engineering is required.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements: All work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
Waiver: An applicant may fill this position without meeting all qualifications with review and approval of the Owners Group.
Internal Contacts: This position will interface with all areas of the manufacturing workforce and management team.
