What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Interior Designer position at Spectra Tech?
Responsibilities :
- Perform as a consultant in the establishment of space and furniture design standards and criteria for construction projects. Assist in the development of the Bureau's POR.
- Provide on-site field survey measurements and verification including documentation of space, equipment, workflow, required adjacencies, communication and organizational requirements. Provide recommendations based on observations.
- Prepare space and stacking plans to accommodate functionality, mission and adjacency requirements.
- Prepare blocking plans, schematic and conceptual designs, and design intent drawings in AutoCAD. Ensure drawings comply with the Bureau's Program of Requirements (POR), Campus Design Guides and Construction Standards.
- Perform design reviews and submit technical comments in required format.
- Ensure that drawings and specifications which are submitted to the FBI for review comply with Bureau requirements.
- Manage design of projects throughout the project, from programming to post-occupancy. Includes building and maintaining relationships with end user, local team, subject matter experts, program managers, service providers, etc.
- Assist with the development of furniture selection, layout, and procurement planning.
- Review furniture proposals, documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and ability to meet Bureau requirements. Provide comments and / or recommendations as necessary.
- Participate in punch list walk-throughs of newly constructed / renovated space to ensure the space is ready to accept furniture delivery and installation.
- Perform inspection of furniture to ensure all damage / defective or missing pieces are identified and develop punch list for repair / replacement of defective items.
- Provide support in development of workspace standards, including designing spaces that will positively affect the health, morale, and productivity of building occupants.
- Coordinate with AESU peer colleagues, FBI Project Managers, customers and other
Bureau personnel / contractors, and other project team members on projects as necessary.
Qualifications :
The contractor must have, or be able to obtain, at a minimum, unescorted access to FBI facilities. It is required that the contractor already has a Secret security clearance in JPAS at time of award. Contractor must have or have the ability obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance in support of the FBI, since the work associated with this task order will occur in FBI- occupied facilities and will require access to the FBINet. A contractor who already possesses a TS security clearance is preferrable.
