Position Overview:
The Branch Manager is responsible for managing overall store operations, including sales, profitability, and customer experience. This individual will lead and motivate a team of Counter Sales Associates, Warehouse Staff, and Delivery Drivers while ensuring the highest level of customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Set and communicate clear performance expectations for all team members.
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Lead regular staff meetings and individual check-ins to ensure the team stays informed and aligned with company goals.
- Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling to maintain a strong, knowledgeable workforce.
Sales & Customer Service Management:
- Ensure customers receive prompt, professional service in-store and over the phone.
- Develop and implement strategies to boost in-store and online sales through effective promotions and upselling techniques.
- Collaborate with the sales team to gather customer insights, identify new opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.
- Resolve customer concerns and disputes in a timely, professional manner while balancing business needs.
Operational & Financial Oversight:
- Establish and manage sales goals and profitability targets, implementing plans to achieve them.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and inventory management practices.
- Oversee warehouse and delivery operations to ensure timely, error-free order fulfillment.
- Monitor branch expenses and control operational costs to maximize profitability.
Compliance & Safety:
- Enforce company policies and compliance with state and federal employment laws.
- Maintain a safe working environment by implementing safety standards, ensuring OSHA compliance, and overseeing equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in store management/operations in a wholesale or similar environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, sales, and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience using operational systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Experience in the HVACR industry or similar technical field.
