Job Description:
The position of Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. The Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting various tests and quality control measures to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of dairy products throughout the production process. This role involves working closely with production and quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of product quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished dairy products to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor physical and chemical properties of products, such as pH, moisture content, fat, protein levels, and microbiological testing.
- Record and analyze test results, ensuring accurate data entry and timely reporting.
- Conduct equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing protocols and methods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments (production, quality assurance, etc.) to resolve any quality or production issues.
- Participate in training and continuous learning to stay up-to-date on the latest industry standards and testing techniques.
- Follow all CLIENT good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a food production or dairy plant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
