Roles and Responsibilities :
Become part of our team as an on-site Electrical Engineer in Boise, ID who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including advanced semiconductor manufacturing and other state of the art manufacturing facilities.
Our engineers are responsible for delivery of complex construction packages including tool installation design. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks. As you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks, you’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. You’ll coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. You will work in a multi-discipline collaborative team environment. You will produce single-line diagrams depicting electrical power systems 208Y / 120V through 480V, installation details, electric room layouts, tool installation connection diagrams, cable tray layouts, cable schedules, power plans, lighting plans, breaker coordination studies, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies. You will support senior engineers in selection and specification of electrical equipment. Duties may also include providing on-site assistance during startups.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy from an ABET accredited University.
Minimum 6 years of Electrical Engineering experience related to facility engineering.
Engineer in Training (EIT) actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure.
Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Working knowledge of CAD and / or BIM modeling software.
Strong skill set to digitally markup drawings, utilizing applications such as Autodesk Design Review and BIM360 for purpose of delegating to a designer.
Experience working in construction environments including field verifications.
Familiarity of design and construction project delivery, from project initiation, detailed design, specification format, services during construction.
Preferred
Professional Engineering License (PE) with ability to obtain in the State of Idaho
Possess knowledge and application of NEC, OSHA and NFPA codes and standards.
Experience leading a small team.
Experience with semiconductor tool installation.
Experience with project scoping and development.
Experience with PTW SKM power analysis software, Easypower and / or ETAP.
Experience with NavisWorks and / or Revit BIM software.
Strong communication skills with an ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability for forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and to contribute with innovative ideas.
Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
