Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary HR Generalist to join our team at the Round Lake Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing leaves, accommodations, compliance, and employee relations issues. This role is a critical part of our HR team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all employees. The candidate should have working knowledge of Workday and not have sensitivity to penicillin, as there may be exposure to penicillin at the plant.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and process employee leaves, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant state and federal regulations, using Workday.
2. Collaborate with management to accommodate employee needs, including reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities.
3. Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
4. Ensure compliance with all HR-related regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and state labor laws.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Workday, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
6. Assist with the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
7. Provide support for recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes as needed.
8. Collaborate with the HR team to address any HR-related inquiries or issues.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR Generalist role, with a focus on leave management, compliance, and employee relations.
3. Strong knowledge of HR-related regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and state labor laws.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems (preferably Workday), and other relevant HR technology.
