Job Title: Packaging Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH, 43219
Duration:05 Months
Shift: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Job Description:
Performs entry-level technical activities to create new or modify existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and/or tools in support of the company's strategic plan. Works with team to apply engineering and scientific principles to evaluate and resolve technical problems with supervision from technical lead and/or manager. Supports continuous quality improvement.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Daily tasks/duties/skills: Written/verbal communication with packaging suppliers
• Written/verbal communication within the organization
• Presentation drafting skills (PowerPoint presentations)
• Statistical evaluation/ data compilation and management (use of Minitab or Microsoft Excel)
• Technical thought/writing (engineering test protocols, documentation, reporting, analysis)
• Lab testing work (testing of package components in lab environment)
Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office skills (Office and Excel)
• Minitab and Power BI good to have but not required
• Understanding of basic and advanced engineering concepts.
• Ability to apply technical and practical knowledge of engineering principles.
• Experience using business collaboration tools.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Manufacturing, or Packaging)
Salary : $28 - $31
