We are seeking a Software Development Engineer or Front-End Engineer to help modernize our Fortune 100 tech giant client's front-end developer experience . The team is focused on building accessible features, deploying client-side code, generating HTML, and maintaining ultra-low JavaScript performance.
As a part of this team, you'll be contributing to innovative and impactful work across a range of technologies. We’ve recently been using Kotlin or TypeScript , but we also maintain existing code bases with Java , Perl , and JavaScript . Our products include the front-end framework for our client, a JavaScript and CSS build system used by thousands of developers, and a compiler for deploying markup templates across multiple languages.
We value strong communication skills , a balance of independent work and collaboration , and the ability to dive deep and deliver results . This role is ideal for individuals with 3 years of experience in the field who are passionate about front-end development but are not looking for an overly senior or managerial role.
Responsibilities :
- Contribute to the development and modernization of front-end systems and frameworks.
- Build and maintain scalable and high-performance client-side code.
- Write and deploy HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with an emphasis on performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Maintain and enhance existing code bases (Java, Perl, JavaScript) while introducing modern technologies (Kotlin, TypeScript).
- Use engineering best practices to ensure the front-end developer experience is smooth, efficient, and accessible.
