Senior QA Engineering Leader

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Senior QA leader passionate about driving product quality, fostering high-performance teams, and promoting a culture of excellence across the Engineering organization. This role requires proven expertise in testing products, apps, backend APIs, and web frontends, alongside the strategies and resources needed to ensure comprehensive coverage. You’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our shift-left testing approach and CI/CD processes. Beyond technical skills, we’re looking for someone collaborative, curious, an excellent communicator, and always eager to learn. Your Impact

·        Shape Testing Strategy: Leverage your expertise in test automation and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation decisions.

·        Build Strong Partnerships: Develop collaborative, cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

·        Lead Test Planning: Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing efforts with product management and development teams.

·        Enhance QA Practices: Improve manual and automated tests, frameworks, and tools to align with best practices and evolving standards.

·        Ensure Release Quality: Drive processes and controls to guarantee high-quality product releases.

·        Collaborate for Success: Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps, and other teams to balance realistic timelines with product quality.

·        Foster a Quality Culture: Champion transparency, ownership, collaboration, and accountability within the QA team.

·        Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead the team to embrace innovation and achieve measurable productivity gains.

·        Deliver Quality Insights: Provide quantitative and qualitative assessments of product quality pre- and post-launch. Develop cross-functional improvement plans and communicate results across all organizational levels.

·        Manage Vendor Relationships: Oversee and maintain strong, productive partnerships with offshore QA vendors in Romania and India.

We’d love to hear from people with

·        10 years of QA leadership experience with a track record of driving continuous improvement.

·        5 years managing high-performance teams at a second-level leadership role.

·        Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across multiple business functions and leadership levels.

·        Proven success in end-to-end test execution, from project inception to post-launch.

·        Strong risk management mindset, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they arise.

·        Extensive experience in all testing types: Functional, Non-Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and End-to-End.

·        Ability to define and communicate tailored testing strategies based on project needs.

·        Strong data and analytical skills to back up decisions and recommendations with metrics.

·        Expertise in test automation strategies, identifying high-impact automation opportunities.

·        Deep understanding of API architecture and hands-on experience with API testing.

·        Proficiency with QA tools, including JIRA for issue tracking and TestRail for test management.

·        Exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for quality and continuous improvement.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
