What You'll Do in This Role : As the Wi-Fi QA Engineer you'll have the opportunity to work with the world's largest network providers ensuring Spectralink's devices work seamlessly on all of them. With wireless and networking changing on a daily basis you'll never be bored in this position. In this role you'll work with onshore and offshore QA teams responsible for the testing of our Wi-Fi product portfolio. Our passion is ensuring an optimal user experience in voice quality, design and ease of use of our product. You will be the QA engineer interacting with wireless LAN (WLAN) partners, defining and executing interoperability tests and creating configuration guides to ensure an optimal deployment experience for our customers. You will be creating and modifying existing manual tests with a focus on our Wi-Fi interoperability with a wide range of enterprise wireless vendors. You will work on a variety of systems from our wireless ecosystem, call server infrastructure, android, cloud based, to analytics and beyond. You will work closely with our development teams to triage defects, retest fixes and help get our products ready for release. You will partner with the QA automation team to add to our existing suite of automated tests. You will triage the runs of existing tests and manage the infrastructure (AP, controllers, ESX servers, phones, etc.) where these tests are run. The nuts and bolts of the job : Lead of our WLAN interoperability programPoint of contact for our WLAN partners; Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, and Meraki to name a fewTest plan creation for our VIEW (Voice Interoperability Enterprise Wireless) certification program Creation of WAN configuration guide that defines requirements for interoperability with our devicesWork with various groups within the company to define feature requirements Create integration / system level test cases based on requirementsPerform manual acceptance and regression testing Collect and analyze logs and network traces to determine the root cause of failuresConfigure wired / wireless test networks Write new automated tests What you bring to the table : Must have : 3 years of SQA experience and solid understanding of software development processes Wireless / wired network setup and troubleshooting including 802.11 standards (802.11a / b / g / n / ac / d / h / k / r) Experience with protocol analyzers, such as Wireshark, to capture, analyze and troubleshoot issues SIP or other VoIP telephony signaling Working knowledge of HTTP(S), SSL / TLS, FTP, TFTPExperience in test automation and with scripting languages like Python, BASH, etc. Experience with Linux command lineBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related programsNice to have (or ability to learn quickly) : Experience in working with Android to pull / filter logs and to work with ADBCWNA certification Skills that will make you successful in this role.
