Job Description

Currently, Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC is searching for candidates for a full time permanent drug discovery scientist to join a Compound Management team. The job location is in San Diego, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Registration, weighing, storing, and inventory maintenance of small molecule compounds
• Automated laboratory equipment operation. Routinely operates liquid handling instrumentation in order to create compound testing plates
• Troubleshooting and recovery of basic instrumentation errors
• Liquid handling QC operation and data analysis
• Shipping of requested compounds throughout R&D departments
• Process sample requests for distribution and maintain proper documentation
• Label and track compounds for storage and shipment label compounds
• Adheres to corporate standards for laboratory safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment and proper operation of safety enclosures and other equipment.
• Logistical support for project teams including documentation management, shipping and receiving of disposables and compounds, and communication with global partners.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work at the lab bench for extended periods of time are required.
• The individual should be well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines that may be altered by rapidly changing priorities.
• The individual should have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with lab automation is preferred but not required Previous customer service experience a plus.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
