Job Description
Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a leading educational organization with a strong commitment to social responsibility, is seeking an experienced Instructional Aide II to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing curriculum and behavioral intervention strategies consistent with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) to meet each student's goals and objectives.
- Providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, including group and individual instruction in the classroom and community.
- Consulting with supervisors on the progress of students and implementing IEP plans.
- Assisting in transition plans for integrating students back into public schools or adult programs.
- Writing progress reports, developing and modifying data sheets, and creating curriculum materials.
- Following the classroom schedule and reporting observations to relevant staff.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors is preferred.
- Strong motivational skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in using technology, including computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and database entry.
