About the Role
As a Learning Support Professional, you will be responsible for supporting students with IEPs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and learning centers. Your primary focus will be on creating individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to promote academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with IEPs in classrooms and learning centers
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to identify areas of strength and weakness
- Develop strategies to promote academic achievement and personal growth
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field
- All state teaching certification and/or licensing requirements
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an education specialist or special education teaching credential (Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe)
- Prior experience working with students with IEPs
