Responsibilities
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless communication and effective support systems.
- Provide instruction and supervision to assigned students, promoting academic growth and social development.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior, implementing Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIPs), and reporting observations to relevant staff.
- Participate in data collection and analysis, contributing to the development of Functional Analyses of Behavior and PBIPs.
- Perform job coaching duties, assisting students in developing employment skills and transitioning to community-based settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field.
- Current Emergency 30-Day Sub Permit or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Valid California state driver's license.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors.
- Ability to think critically and make independent decisions in emergency situations.
