Per Diem Event Staff provide general event support on an as-needed basis for weddings, corporate events, business meetings, community fundraising events, and other out-of-the-box opportunities such as catering onboard sea vessels! Duties of the position vary by event and may include, but is not limited to, any combination of the following: event setup, transporting supplies and equipment between venues, food display setup and maintenance, food prep, serving on a buffet line or passing food on trays to guests, and general cleanup. Experience as a certified bartender a plus, but not required! The position will be based out of our Waterville or Hallowell location, however the ability to travel to event locations is required (mileage reimbursement available).
The ideal candidate will have great customer service, organizational and time management skills. They must also work well independently as well as part of a team.
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School graduate or GED.
- One years’ experience waiting on tables desired
- One years’ experience in banquet and event services operation desired.
- Experience driving full-sized vans and towing trailers highly desirable.
- Must have valid Maine drivers license.
While experience in the event industry is highly desired, we are willing to train the right individual!
