SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
POEMS is Prevention of Emotional Mental Stress. Assigned to one or more elementary school settings to provide psychoeducation/skill building services through individual and group format.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform as a high performing team member with the values that support trust, interdependencies and teamwork consistently in the work environment.
- Provides group and individual prevention services
- Perform Intakes
- Records data needed to complete MH Department reporting requirements
- Utilizes the approved group program PATHS
- Coordinates with other staff and school personnel

- ABILITY TO FORM POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY PERSONNEL
- ABILITY TO FORM POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BEING SERVED
- ABILITY TO FOLLOW THE APPROVED EVIDENCED BASED CURRICULUM
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Associate’s degree in related field
- (4 year) Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Proven experience/education in behavioral health services
EXPERIENCE:
- One year Experience in behavioral health services
- Two years’ Experience or education in children
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record, and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement
COMPENSATION: $20.08/hr - $25.60/hr
