Job Summary:
Assist with the day-to-day facilities management, housekeeping tasks and projects of Spectrum Health Services, Inc. main and regional sites. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facilities. Works under the direction of the Facilities Manager to support the operations and servicing of building systems. May be required to make minor repairs.
Essential Functions:
Facilities:
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and order/organization of all the building spaces.
- Coordination of office equipment and furniture moves and other space adjustments to meet the needs of the business.
- Community room set up for meetings and special events.
- Work with the Facilities Manager and outside vendors to arrange repairs & maintenance relative to building operations.
- Assist in the maintenance and distribution of cleaning and business supply inventory for the sites.
- Escalate maintenance issues in a timely manner and follow up/track to ensure issues are resolved appropriately.
- Handle after hour emergencies when directed by the Facilities Manager.
Facilities Maintenance Technician:
- Maintenance of exterior premises.
- Maintain the cleanliness and supplies of rest rooms.
- Ensures that all proper safety precautions are implemented throughout all the sites.
- Inspect the condition of all the sites property to correct unsafe-conditions.
- Handles snow removal and salting in inclement weather.
- Cleans spills as needed.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of medical waste disposal in order keep all areas clean.
- Deliver mail/packages to designated departments. Process outgoing mail from various departments within Spectrum Health Services, Inc. sites.
- Ability to work independently and be a part of the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Work experience in health care setting preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Valid, Active driver’s license.
