Scope of work
The Infusion Clinical Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family center care principles. Under the direct supervision of the Nursing leader and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to access and implement the treatment plan for patients. The RN assesses monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and / or medical treatment.
Qualifications
Associates in Nursing Required
Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
- 1 year of relevant experience acute care, emergency, or intensive care nursing Preferred
- CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Adult Infusion 1 Year required Or
- CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONS #N / A Adult Infusion 1 Year
- CRT-Oncology Certified Nurse - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Upon Hire preferred
Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
1 year of relevant experience acute care, emergency, or intensive care nursing Preferred
Infusion Experience Preferred
Oncology Experience Preferred
ONS Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy Provider Certificate required or to be obtained within six (6) months of hire
