Spectrum Healthcare Partners is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist (board-certified/ board-eligible) to become an integral member of our distinguished team of 40 skilled physicians. This position is based at Maine Medical Center (MMC), a 700-bed tertiary hospital and Level One Trauma Center, with a residency, adult cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship, and academic opportunities.

About this role

• Ideal candidate with at least 5 years of pediatric cardiac anesthesia experience, including neonatal cardiac surgery, and leadership interest for a growing program.
• Position includes care of pediatric cardiac surgical, cath, and EP lab patients as well as general non-cardiac pediatric surgical and NORA cases.

We are the largest pediatric surgical program in Northern New England performing over 3500 anesthetics per year. Our specialized pediatric surgery partners include general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, and cardiac surgery.

• The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is Maine's premier pediatric referral hospital with 116 beds including 31 Level III NICU beds, 20 Level II Continuing Care Nursery beds and 10 PICU beds.
• Our pediatric anesthesia group provides expert anesthesiology care including complex neurosurgical repairs, neonatal surgery, airway reconstructions, cath lab procedures, and “bread and butter” pediatric services.
• We provide anesthesia at MMC’s inpatient hospital, outpatient surgery center and outpatient imaging centers.
