Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant for our primary care department at the Fairfax Health Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Position Highlights:
- Outpatient environment & updated facilities
- Emphasis on work-life balance (no weekend, evening, on-call, or holiday requirements)
- Employee status with a full complement of benefits
- Opportunity to give back & care for our Nation's military and dependents
- Schedule Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, 8am - 4:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm
- Rotating Saturdays: 7am - 12pm
Responsibilities:
- Taking a patient's history and personal information upon arrival of appointment
- Scheduling appointments and answering the phone
- Checking patient vitals and provide assistance to physician in office
Requirements:
- Required: Graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant program
- Required: 2-years of experience as a medical assistant. At least 3 months experience working in a primary care setting (resume must reflect solid, relevant experience)
- Active BLS certification
