Medical Assistant - Primary Care

Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant for our primary care department at the Fairfax Health Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

Position Highlights:

• Outpatient environment & updated facilities 
• Emphasis on work-life balance (no weekend, evening, on-call, or holiday requirements)
• Employee status with a full complement of benefits

• Schedule Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, 8am - 4:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm
• Rotating Saturdays: 7am - 12pm

Responsibilities:

• Taking a patient's history and personal information upon arrival of appointment
• Scheduling appointments and answering the phone
• Checking patient vitals and provide assistance to physician in office

Requirements:

• Required: Graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant program 
• Required: 2-years of experience as a medical assistant. At least 3 months experience working in a primary care setting (resume must reflect solid, relevant experience)
• Active BLS certification
