Operating Room (OR) RN

Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opening for an Operating Room RN supporting Fort Cavazos in Killeen, TX.

Job Requirements:

• Attended accredited Nursing Program, with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s in nursing preferred.
• The contract OR RN must be currently trained, certified and maintain qualification in CPR and emergency cardiac care as evidenced by successful training and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). No on-line certifications will be accepted.
• A minimum of one (1)-year experience within the last three (3)-years

The following procedures as an OR RN is required but not limited to:

• Assist surgeons and Anesthesiologists with complex or potentially life-threatening procedures such as insertion of invasive lines, chest tubes, tracheotomies or removal of foreign bodies from the trachea/Endotracheal tubes and nasogastric tubes
• Conscious/moderation sedation
• Pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care
• Recover post-surgical patients including post-cesarean section patients under general anesthesia
• Administer and support infusion therapy services
