Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses at Tripler in Honolulu, HI. This position provides Labor and Delivery nursing services to military patients and family and offers:
- Two weeks paid time off
- 40 hours per week
- 10 paid Federal Holidays
Job Requirements:
The Labor and Delivery RN will have the following requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; and/or graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Have and maintain a current and valid state license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) to practice as a Registered Nurse in one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RN.
- Minimum of at least 1 year of experience, within the last 3 caring for high risk labor and delivery patients as an RN.
- Current Certification in BLS, ACLS and NRP
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse with at least one year of experience within the last three years caring for high risk labor and delivery patients as a registered nurse
Knowledge of interpersonal relationships and the ability to maintain composure and react appropriately while relating to patients and families; to manage distraught, irritable, unreasonable or angry individuals; and to maintain positive rapport with all individuals involved in patient care.
Serves as member of the resuscitation team. Serves as the OB Triage Nurse, independently or in collaboration with provider assesses and evaluates obstetrical outpatients 20 weeks gestation or greater presenting for care.
Obtain patient history and pertinent family history. Document plan of care and care given in patient's medical record. Utilize appropriate nursing personnel to assist in delivery of care when indicated (LPNs/paraprofessionals).
Perform and record skilled physical assessments of normal and complicated gravid women and newborn infants to include vital and neurological signs with fetal heart tones,
