Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Wound Care Registered Nurse to work at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care Center in New Orleans. 

Position Highlights:

• Weekend, Holiday, Evening and Night Hour Shifts
• 12 hour shifts
• Medical/Dental/Vision
• Generous PTO and 11 paid federal holidays

Position Responsibilities:

• Patient assessment, triage, and monitoring
• Execution of physicians' orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice
• Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release
• Documentation of patient care and observations
• Patient education and emotional support

Position Requirements:

• Active Nurse Licensure Compact
• Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as an RN working in a Wound Care setting within the last 2 years
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross and ACLS
