Spectrum Healthcare Services, a healthcare recruiting agency, is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our client in Harrisburg, PA.
Essential Duties
- Conducts patient examinations and gathers relevant medical history and examination results.
- Orders or administers diagnostic tests, including x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests.
- Collects and organizes patient medical data, including health history and physical examination outcomes.
- Analyzes diagnostic test results for any abnormalities or deviations from normal.
- Performs therapeutic procedures, such as administering injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and managing infections.
- Provides patient education and counseling to ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans and health maintenance practices.
- Develops and implements management plans for patient care, documenting progress and supporting continuity of care.
- Contributes to the development, implementation, and modification of policies that influence the medical practice and the quality of occupational health care.
- Assists in creating and delivering educational and instructional programs.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and colleagues.
- Committed to exceeding customer and patient expectations.
- Ensures precision and accuracy in completing tasks, including conducting quality assurance checks.
- Maintains thorough, clear, and timely documentation of all test results and paperwork.
- Provides a compassionate and positive patient experience, regardless of patient volume.

Work Setting: Occupational Health Center
Job Type: Direct Hire
Shifts: Mon-Fri, 8-5p; no call, nights, or weekends
Weekly Hours: 40
Salary: Negotiable
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- Board Certification
- Licensure in PA
- At least 2 years of experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care or ER is required
- Procedural proficiency is preferred (laceration repairs, suturing, foreign body removals, etc.)
- FMCSA NRCME is required prior to start date
- DEA required prior to start date
