Position Summary
The Client Support Specialist blended position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to patients, handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with client eligibility and verification. They will respond to inquiries via phone, chat, and email, perform data entry tasks, and ensure accurate documentation. This role requires verifying patient insurance coverage, updating benefit information, and serving as a resource for patients regarding coverage and financial options. This role conducts eligibility interviews, completes AHCCCS applications, and provides referrals. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping people are essential for success in this combined role. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred qualifications include two years of experience working with clients in a medical and/or behavioral health environment, two years of data entry experience, and two years of insurance experience with contract and managed care clients.
- Proficiency in operating a multi-line phone system and various office equipment and program applications, such as electronic fax and email, is required.
- Previous data entry experience is preferred, and previous remote work experience is a plus. Reliable high speed wireless internet service of 50 Mbps or higher is required.
