Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Facilities and Fleet Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance and Custodial Technician (FMCT) is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and cleaning at all company properties. This role combines elements of facilities maintenance and custodial services, ensuring that company buildings, equipment, and vehicles remain in optimal condition.

The FMCT will coordinate repairs, schedule service appointments, conduct safety inspections, and maintain necessary documentation. Additionally, this position will assist in organizing supplies, responding to maintenance and custodial requests, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards. In the event of custodial staff absences due to illness or scheduled PTO, this role will assume cleaning responsibilities to maintain a sanitary and safe environment.

 The Facilities Specialist is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position typically working Monday through Friday business hours (some flexibility may be offered). This is a position with travel to all Spectrum Healthcare sites in the Verde Valley, Prescott, and Prescott Valley, Arizona for facility maintenance as needed using company vehicles.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely.
• General mechanical skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Ability to withstand all weather conditions.
• General knowledge of the principals, practices and methods of cleaning and maintenance.
• Knowledge of regular maintenance on a vehicle.
• Knowledge of Infection Control and quality management Issues to watch for.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to monitor facility environment for safety and infection control issues.
• Ability to complete detailed documentation timely and accurately.
• Knowledge of products and supplies to order.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and reach as part of the cleaning and maintenance process.
• Efficient at time management, organizational skills and flexibility.
• Must be able to work under stress & strict time constraints.
• Perform data entry and complete forms with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience with and ability to use Microsoft Office software and internet.
• Ability to use general office equipment such as multi-line phone system, personal computer, photocopier, fax, etc.)
• Maintain current AZ driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Successfully pass background check and drug screen.
