Spectrum Home Care is a privately owned home care agency in Sioux Falls, SD. We are professional, agile and supportive for each and everyone of our clients and employees. Pay $17 - 19 plus $1.50 differential pay
We are looking for a special caregiver to take care of a couple (man & wife) in Lennox , SD
Hours are: Monday 1-7; Tuesday 1-7; Thursday 12-7; Friday 1-7; Saturday 2-7= 30hrs a week.
The couple live in a scent free home due to the husband’s chemical compound allergy. Their caregiver will also need to be sent free. No perfume, smelly shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant etc. We will provide the scent-free products at the office to accommodate them, with no cost to the caregiver.
The day will consist of helping the wife get dressed and ready for the day, helping the husband with meal prep, help with laundry, tidying up when needed, and any other housekeeping tasks that needs done. The day will end with prepping the wife’s supplies for her nighttime routine and preparing her feeding bag and pump.
Mileage to and from Lennox will be reimbursed at .40 per mile.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living.
- Monitor and record changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals, and office staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, following infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Experience preferred but will train:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Experience working with the elderly and/or the disabled is a plus
- Knowledge of medical systems and equipment used in patient care
- Ability to lift and assist with transferring patients as needed
