General Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the employment information and maintaining required documentation in personnel files and on the Human Resources Information System. This position processes changes in status, pay, and work assignment; is responsible for benefits administration, and the processing of worker’s compensation and unemployment claims. The Human Resources Generalist maintains direct and written contact with management reporting changes and ensures required documentation is in place.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- Two years experience in Human Resources, Personnel or Public Administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic Human Resources practices.
- Knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act, Civil Rights Act, and personnel regulations.
- Knowledge of Spectrum Human Services Policies and Procedures.
- Effective written and other communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work with Windows-based software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
