About the role
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our medical team. In this role, you will perform clinical and administrative tasks within two highly secure facilities, Calumet and Lincoln Centers. This position is crucial for facilitating smooth healthcare operations and supporting medical staff. You will assist physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals by delivering resident care, administrative assistance, and clinical support. Your responsibilities will include overseeing insurance matters, assisting with resident examinations and vital signs, maintaining and updating medical records, performing specimen collection and laboratory tests, addressing vaccination needs, and assisting with procedures. Additionally, you will help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing interdisciplinary communications and requests. The ability to multitask and stay organized is essential for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School Diploma/GED is required.
- An Associate Degree is preferred
- CMA or RMA Certification is preferred
- 3 years of Medical Assistant experience, including experience with EHR systems, is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Medicaid billing regulations
- Prior experience planning and scheduling appointments and managing tasks.
- Must have strong computer skills
