Description
- Monitor and maintain server operating systems, network security, and backup strategies
- Monitor and maintain server hardware and other network infrastructure devices
- Evaluate needs for new and revised systems; identify and recommend possible improvements in computer systems
- Installing new hardware and software; test and monitor the operation of computer hardware and software; configure hardware and software to meet departments’ needs
- Evaluate and resolve system problems; identify and obtain appropriate resources for the resolution of complex problems; correct routine problems by making minor repairs to computer equipment and/or entering specialized commands or data into systems; contact appropriate resources for additional assistance
- Collaborate with other IS Staff in the development of training materials and programs as needed
- Consult with external tech support personnel when needed to determine best solutions and improvements to systems deficiencies
- Document and regularly update policies and procedures related to all routine IT functions
- Collaborate with other IS Staff to define help desk protocols for resolving ‘trouble calls’ and execute procedures to ensure timely problem resolution and communication of progress with users
- Provide support to the VP of Information Systems on such matters as requested
- Instruct computer system users in the use of computer equipment and of computer applications; answer questions and assist in resolving problems regarding the methods and procedures for using computer applications
- Represent and preserve the best interest and integrity of the company whenever and wherever possible
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.)
- Four years of related work experience successfully contributing in a high technology environment, preferably Intel/Microsoft
- Windows Server, Desktop configuration, and Group Management policy
- CrowdStrike, Veeam, Microsoft Entra and Exchange
- SQL Server
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
