2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday
4:00pm - 2:00am
7.5% shift differential pay
Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to weld metal parts with gas welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order.
- Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench/ floor or clamps parts together along layout marks
- Adjusts wire feed rate and voltage, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal
- Connects regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders and welding torches
- Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases and adjusts pressure to obtain desired weld
- Holds gun at proper angle to metal and guides along weld joint
- Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
- Scars or grooves weld prior to applying filler metal
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- One year certificate from a college or technical school
- One to two years of related work experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
