JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Specialist at Spectrum Killian Dental Lab Alliance (SKDLA) is a key member of the field sales team, responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves frequent travel to meet clients in person, showcasing SKDLA’s value proposition, and ensuring customer satisfaction through tailored solutions. The Business Development Specialist will play a critical role in expanding the organization's footprint and achieving strategic sales objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, identifying new opportunities to promote SKDLA’s services.
· Conduct field visits to dental practices, DSOs, and other key stakeholders to present SKDLA’s offerings and establish strong relationships.
· Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive client engagement and consultative selling.
· Collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals and solutions that meet client needs.
· Represent SKDLA at local and regional industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
· Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform sales strategies and identify competitive advantages.
· Provide regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends to the Regional Sales Manager.
· Ensure seamless onboarding and satisfaction for new clients by coordinating with operations and customer support teams.
Other Duties:
· Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting prospective clients.
· Stay informed on industry trends, advancements in dental laboratory products, and competitor offerings.
· Perform other duties as required by the Regional Sales Manager or Vice President of Sales & Commercial Strategy.
Knowledge and Abilities Required
· Proven experience in field sales, business development, or a related role, preferably within the dental laboratory or healthcare industry.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
· Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
· Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
· Ability to travel extensively to meet clients and attend industry events.
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
· Background in dental industry operations or product knowledge.
· Familiarity with territory management and account development.
