CAD Drafter
General Description
- Creates technical documentation required to clearly direct production in the manufacturing and assembly of Lighting products (Component, Assembly, and Bill of Materials, etc.).
- Works independently and in teams having ownership of tasks and accountability for results.
- Creates clear and accurate mechanical drawings (CAD), assembly documentation, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, and all other required engineering content necessary to serve internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Vocational/Technical concentration and/or Associate degree in Engineering or comparable field of study.
- Proficient with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Methodical and detail-oriented planner and problem-solver
- Makes commitments to deadlines and then delivers to commitments
- Follows directions accurately
- Good math and reading skills
- Creates and maintains organized documentation
- Able to work independently and part of a team
- Able to Identify problems and make informed decisions
Desirable
- Working knowledge of the Lighting industry codes and standards (Underwriters Laboratories, National Electric Code, National Fire Prevention Association, or other).
- Professional experience in the Lighting Industry or adjacent industry.
- Working knowledge of materials, processes, and assembly.
