If so, you may be just the person we are looking for!
Spectrum Marketing Companies, a national player in direct mail, is looking to add a new team member to our growing and dynamic operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing and optimizing postal costs and ensuring delivery consistency related to our direct mail marketing and trucking operations.
Here’s what you will be doing:
• Use established analytic tools to make appropriate recommendations on the optimal use of various postage classes and trucking logistics on all jobs;
• Monitor and troubleshoot potential issues related to delays incurred within the postal system or common carrier trucking partners;
• Assist sales and support staff in making critical decisions on mail dates, transport time and mail delivery in-home dates based on tools and resources available;
• Provide mapping of client customer files or related evaluation of marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI;
• Capturing, collecting and organizing data from various sources to ensure reference information are up to date and accurate;
• Continue to work on refining the tools and practices to support effective decision making related to general logistics functions;
• Other related duties as may be assigned.
We need the successful candidate to have:
• Superior Excel or other data spreadsheet knowledge, especially the X-lookup function, and dexterity;
• A love of numbers in addition to strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities;
• Clarity of written and verbal communication for relating findings and recommendations to management;
It would be a big plus if the right candidate had:
• Experience working with dynamic sales staff and sales support groups.
• A background in Direct Mail or Postal logistics and postal rates would be an advantage but not necessary-we will train
Physical requirements include:
• Extended periods of sitting;
• Extended periods of screen time;
• Fine motor skills sufficient to allow significant keyboarding;
• Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds;
