Job Summary:
The Offset Press Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
The Bindery Operator is responsible for operating various machines and equipment in the bindery department to finish printed materials, such as trimming, folding, binding, and packaging.
Each role involves interpreting job orders, setting up machines, adjusting equipment settings, monitoring production quality, and performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
• Setup, prepare and operate assigned equipment including offset printing presses, folding machines, cutting machines, saddle stitchers and/or perfect binders.
• Interpret job orders, including layout, color, and printing specifications, to ensure accurate and high-quality output.
• Load paper stock, adjust feeding mechanisms and machine settings to maintain consistent accuracy and optimize production rates.
• Monitor operations and make needed adjustments during production runs to ensure proper ink coverage, color registration, overall print quality, accurate trimming, folding, binding and/or finishing as assigned.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records, including job logs, material usage, and maintenance schedules.
• Assist with packaging and shipping finished products.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or bindery is preferred.
• Experience as an offset press or bindery operator or similar role, with a strong understanding of related processes and equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting job orders, including understanding color management and print specifications.
• Ability to set up and operate offset printing presses and/or bindery equipment, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time,

Qualifications
You may be the successful candidate if you have:
Previous Ryobi printing experience (this is our preference), but candidates with small press lithographic experience and willingness to train will also be considered
Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
