Compensation : $70,000 to $75,000 (DOE)
Job Summary :
Spectrum Medical is seeking a Community Outreach Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Spectrum Medical Care Center’s outreach programs, managing the daily operations of the outreach team with a primary focus on HIV, STI, and HCV prevention, and leading and mentoring a team of Community Outreach Navigators (CONs). You will develop and execute strategic outreach initiatives while ensuring the success of community engagement efforts.
As our Community Outreach Manager, you’ll report to the Director of Marketing & Community Engagement (DMCE) and work closely with the Sr. Director of Programs and Funding.

What You’ll Do :
Team Leadership and Management
Manage and lead a team of Community Outreach Navigators (CONs), providing direct supervision, mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations.Develop and manage the scheduling of CONs, ensuring optimal coverage for outreach activities and events, and managing time-off requests, including timesheet approvals.Organize and oversee regular team meetings to assess progress, set goals, and discuss challenges and opportunities.Lead recruitment, hiring, and training efforts for new outreach team members, ensuring alignment with Spectrum Medical’s organizational mission and values.Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.Program Oversight and Strategy Development
Implement and manage outreach programs and strategies to engage high-risk populations, focusing on HIV, STI, and HCV prevention.Work closely with the DMCE to define goals, objectives, and priorities for outreach activities in alignment with organizational goals.Lead the development of outreach protocols and best practices, collaborating with the DMCE and other members of the leadership team.Continuously evaluate and improve outreach strategies to ensure they meet community needs and reflect best practices in public health outreach.Ensure that all outreach activities are comprehensive, timely, and aligned with Spectrum’s vision for healthcare accessibility and equity.Event Management and Coordination
Oversee the planning and execution of community events, workshops, health fairs, and other outreach activities.Maintain a calendar of outreach events, ensuring proper staffing levels, logistics coordination, and seamless execution. Establish a community testing cadence throughout Maricopa County and AZ.Ensure outreach efforts target key high-risk populations for HIV, STIs, and HCV, in collaboration with the DMCE.Track and report on event success, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.Collaboration and Reporting
Collaborate with the DMCE to align outreach strategies with organizational goals and community needs.Ensure Public Health Data Surveillance entries for each community outreach program meet established deadlines, including but not limited to State and Federal Agency timely reporting and qualitative feedback to the Programs and Data Management Department.Develop and submit regular reports on outreach efforts, challenges, and successes, including data on event participation and outcomes.Ensure outreach team members maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions, services, and referrals.Perform quality assurance checks on open and closed outreach files to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate effectively across departments, including marketing and the Program and Data Management teams, to ensure alignment and support for outreach initiatives.Community Engagement and Relationship Building
Build and maintain strategic relationships with community organizations, local government agencies, and stakeholders to enhance Spectrum’s outreach efforts.Represent Spectrum Medical Care Center at community events, forums, and meetings, acting as an ambassador for the organization’s mission and services.Promote and engage in community partnerships to increase awareness and accessibility of Spectrum’s healthcare services.Support the outreach team in addressing client needs, providing resources, and ensuring that clients are knowledgeable about available programs and services.Resource Management and Administration
Oversee the management and inventory of outreach program supplies, ensuring necessary materials are available for events and activities.Coordinate the replenishment of outreach supplies and submit orders as necessary.Ensure adherence to all confidentiality policies and protocols regarding participant information and program data.Professional Development and TrainingSupport ongoing training and professional development for the outreach team to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for effective community engagement.Encourage team members to participate in relevant workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities to stay updated on trends in public health and community outreach.All duties and responsibilities must be performed consistently with Spectrum Medical Care Center’s performance standards.
What You’ll Need :
Bachelor’s degree in public health, Social Work, Community Health, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3 years of experience in community outreach, public health programs, or social services, with a focus on HIV, STI, or HCV prevention.At least 1 year of previous managerial or supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.Strong knowledge of HIV, STI, and HCV prevention and healthcare services for underserved communities, especially the LGBTQIA2S population.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse community stakeholders.Ability to track data, use public health reporting tools, and apply performance evaluation metrics.Valid Driver’s License.Valid Basic Life Skills CertificationValid Community Health Certifications for HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI Navigation.Internal Candidates are Encouraged to Apply
