Summary: The Buyer will support the Purchasing and Planner roles ensuring smooth operations within the manufacturing facility. This role involves developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across functions to support various procurement and planning tasks.
Buyer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing non-stock purchase requisitions for plant personnel for services, supplies, and repairs.
- Support the procurement of materials, components, and outside services for manufacturing medical device components.
- Help verify specifications and prices, and forward orders to suppliers for acknowledgment.
- Assist the R&D and Sales team with new development materials and quotes.
- Assist in Managing and tracking open purchase orders, expedite late orders, and close short receipts.
- Partner with warehouse and quality teams to resolve paperwork errors or other issues within the receiving process involving suppliers.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in maintaining appropriate safety stock levels to support business and operational objectives.
- Inventory Transaction reconciliation daily in IQMS
- Receipts tracking and categorization.
- Receipts awaiting invoice reconciliation.
- Supplier On Time Delivery validation (month end)
- Inventory management, reorder points, reorder triggers
- Calculating Temp Labor dollars for monthly estimate
- Process RMA’s & Credits
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or accounting related field, or at least 1-2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Experienced with basic accounting and procurement in a regulated environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.
