Job Overview
Spectrum Plastics Group is seeking a talented Product Engineering Intern to support the development of new products and modifications to existing products. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development and work closely with our engineering team.
About the Role
The Product Engineering Intern will be responsible for conducting plant trials for the development of new products, working with manufacturing operations to understand blown film processes, and operating lab equipment for material characterization. You will also assist in the development of design standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product development process.
Requirements
- Enrolled in related academic programs such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science or Chemical Engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook and Visio
- Understanding and ability to research materials
- Task oriented, strong analytical skills and well organized
- Strong interpersonal, excellent oral and written communication skills
- Aptitude to learn and a strong team player
